スターモンの子供の4つの技能マスのうち3つは親から受け継ぎ（8つのうち3つはランダム）、4つのうち1つは種族の学習可能な技能プールからランダムで受け継ぎます。スキルの遺伝子は、後のバージョンでスキルマシンによる補正が可能だが、一定のGSTがかかる。
